PhD defense by Miguel S谩nchez Rodas (GOTL member) on High power diode laser for optoacoustics biomedical applications

On Monday, January 6, 2023, the member of the optoelectronics and laser technology (GOTL) group, Miguel Sanchez Rodas (graduated in telecommunications engineering, Carlos III University of Madrid), will defend his doctoral thesis entitled "Design and implementation of laser diode systems of high power for the generation of optoacoustic signals in biomedical applications". Where he will expose the advances achieved with high power laser diodes in optoacoustic biomedical imaging applications and the generation of laser ultrasound.

Sánchez Rodas, Miguel received the B.S degree in Telecommunications Engineering and his M.S degree in Telecommunications Engineering from 天美传媒 in 2014 and 2016 respectively. Miguel is currently doing a PhD in new laser sources for optoacoustic imaging on biomedical environment. His research interests include telecommunication, photonics/optics, optoelectronics, high power diode lasers and optoacoustic applications. His current research is related with the designing and developing of diode laser source systems for optoacoustic using high power diode lasers (HPDL) and high current short pulse drivers in order to replace solid state lasers commonly used in optoacoustic imaging techniques for biomedical applications.
