天美传媒 (UC3M) has announced four new degree courses that will begin during the 2025/2026 academic year. These are the Bachelor's Degree in Digital Humanities, the Bachelor's Degree in Artificial Intelligence, the Bachelor's Degree in Applied Mathematics, and the Bachelor's Degree in Urban Sustainability, in conjunction with nine other European universities.

The UC3M Bachelor's Degree in Digital Humanities is the first of its kind at a Spanish public university. The course combines a solid grounding in the traditional humanities disciplines with learning about applied digital technologies. Students will be trained in the digitalisation and visualisation of historical and literary sources, the use and study of major language models, the use of geolocation systems, the preservation and dissemination of artistic and cultural heritage in virtual environments, and the management and analysis of databases, among many other topics. At the same time, the ethical and legal challenges of today's digital world will be critically addressed, including the social, ecological, and political implications of artificial intelligence (AI), recommendation algorithms, and social media in the fields of culture, the arts, and the humanities. The course will be taught in Spanish at the Faculty of Humanities, Communications, and Documentation on the Getafe campus.
The UC3M Bachelor's Degree in Artificial Intelligence will be taught in English on the Leganés campus and in Spanish on the Colmenarejo campus. It is designed to give graduates the ability to use advanced AI techniques to address and solve complex problems in business and organisations, contributing to the development of innovative solutions that generate added value. The course includes basic foundations in mathematics, statistics, and information and communications technologies. It also allows for in-depth study in key areas such as machine learning, knowledge representation, big data management, optimisation, natural language processing, and computer vision, with a comprehensive focus on ethics and social impact. With this multidisciplinary training, the degree will provide a solid theoretical and practical foundation to face the technological challenges of the future in areas such as medicine, finance, and robotics, and generate a positive impact on society and the economy.
The UC3M Bachelor's Degree in Applied Mathematics aims to provide graduates with a solid foundation in mathematics and a clear focus on solving real-world problems. The course combines mathematical theory with its practical application, enabling students to develop mathematical models that contribute to problem-solving in areas as diverse as science, engineering, and economics. One of the distinctive features of this degree, taught in English, is its multidisciplinary and application-based approach, which integrates concepts from fields such as physics, engineering, biology, and social sciences in a mathematical framework. Students will acquire a well-rounded and versatile education, combining a deep understanding of mathematics with the tools necessary to find innovative solutions to real-world problems.
The Bachelor's Degree in Urban Sustainability is an official qualification taught entirely in English, which will allow students to study at ten European universities that are members of the YUFE alliance, with a guaranteed exchange year and Erasmus+ scholarship funding. Students on this new degree course will work internationally with students, teachers, and companies to address sustainability issues in urban and rural settings, all within a creative, international, and interactive environment. As a joint degree, the course will have a duration of three years, which is typical in most countries. The first year will focus on basic skills and knowledge and will be taken at the university of origin, while the second and third years can be customised and studied at up to three different European universities. The course will provide a dynamic and flexible learning experience, culminating in the completion of a final degree project. The seven participating European universities will jointly award the degree.
UC3M is one of the Spanish universities which offers the greatest number of English-language and bilingual degrees, representing 72% of its courses for the 2025/26 academic year. In addition to the professional advantages of studying in English, it allows students to connect with students from a multitude of other countries. Furthermore, the job placement rate among its graduates is one of the highest among Spanish universities, at 94.8%.
