The Department Director is the sole manager of the department, and coordinates its activities, making decisions representing the department and directing the activities of administrative personnel attached to the department. The Director is also required to carry out any duties delegated by the Department Council although such tasks may not be delegated on a permanent basis. He/she is appointed by the President following the Department Council’s recommendation.
